Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Behavioral Health Technician to provide support and assistance to individuals receiving mental health and substance abuse treatment. The Behavioral Health Technician will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being and progress of clients.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene
- Conduct therapeutic group activities and exercises to promote social interaction and skill-building
- Monitor and document client behavior and progress, reporting any concerns to the treatment team
- Provide emotional support and guidance to clients struggling with mental health disorders or substance abuse issues
- Assist clients in developing coping skills and healthy behaviors to manage their conditions
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Build rapport and establish trusting relationships with clients to promote a positive therapeutic environment
- Attend training and workshops to stay current on best practices in behavioral health treatment

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Previous experience working in a behavioral health setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, substance abuse, and behavioral therapy techniques
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Must pass background check and drug screening
